This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and sociable finance team within a supportive and family-orientated organisation. You will work closely with the Finance Business Partner and wider finance team, gaining experience across the full range of management accounting activities while enjoying flexible, mostly remote working.

What you’ll do

  • Produce monthly management accounts and assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, process journals, and manage accruals and prepayments.
  • Analyse financial information, including variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting, to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  • Utilise advanced Excel skills and finance systems to manipulate, interpret, and present financial data clearly.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the quality of financial information.
  • Maintain effective communication across the business to ensure all reporting deadlines are consistently met.

What you’ll need

  • Studying towards AAT or equivalent qualifications is desirable, though strong practical experience will also be considered.
  • Exposure to management accounting, budgeting, and reporting, ideally beyond purely transactional finance work.
  • Experience working with budget holders and producing clear, actionable financial insights.
  • Hard‑working and independent, with the ability to manage your workload effectively while receiving guidance and support where needed.
  • Strong cultural fit for a collaborative, friendly, and sociable team.
