Job summary

University of Sheffield is seeking a proactive finance professional to provide financial information and advice across Schools and Faculty. You will support external funding administration and help improve financial processes within the Faculty.

The role involves collaborating with non-financial academic colleagues and Finance teams to ensure accurate financial management and reporting across a range of activities and projects.

• Someone comfortable getting involved with various areas of University finance relating to Schools and faculty
• Someone who is happy working with both non-financial academic colleagues as well as finance colleagues.

The Department of Finance provides a wide range of financial support across the whole University. The Faculty Finance teams provide advice and support to the Faculty which they are aligned to, covering School expenditure, budgets and all project activities.

The role involves provision of sound financial advice and support direct to academic Schools.

We want you to ensure the effective management and monitoring of a range of School funds. This includes the use of the Faculty’s external projects, both research and other sources of funding.
