Assistant Farm Manager – Soft & Stone Fruit

Type: Permanent | Salary: Dependent on experience

Accommodation: Shared on-site available

Holidays: 28 days incl. bank holidays + Christmas–New Year leave

We’re hiring an Assistant Farm Manager to join our thriving soft and stone fruit enterprise, supplying top-tier produce to leading UK supermarkets. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on crop production and irrigation management, supporting the farms harvesting operation, and team management.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead seasonal production, construction and irrigation teams
  • Plan crop cycles
  • Monitor crop performance and quality
  • Support harvesting best practice
  • Ensure compliance with supermarket and industry standards
  • Collaborate with agronomists and technical teams
  • Maintain records and support staff training
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in commercial fruit production (soft & stone fruit ideal)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a 'Can Do' attitude
  • Skilled in crop planning, production, precision irrigation, and quality control
  • Familiarity with Red Tractor, BRCGS, and supermarket protocols
  • Willingness to work weekends / overtime during peak season
