Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the Livingston site. The role is permanent, onsite, and comprises 37 hours per week with flexibility for call outs outside standard hours.

Responsibilities include delivering facilities services, managing the site team, budgets, and ensuring health, safety and environmental policies are followed. Baseline and SC security clearance are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities management and building maintenance.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and asset management.
  • HND/HNC in engineering or equivalent.
  • Awareness of UK facilities standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the operational management of Livingston site.
  • Delivers all facilities management and project services on site.
  • Interfaces with other business functions for Livingston.
  • Manages day-to-day running of the site and facilities team.
  • Ensures department meets service requirements and drives continual improvement.
  • Supports delivery of Health and Safety, Environmental, and corporate policies.
  • Supports customer and company audits to achieve optimum results.
  • Manages budgets for facilities cost centre and projects.

Key skills include facilities, electronics/electrical engineering, building maintenance, health & safety, asset management. Project Management and Computer Drawing Tools e.g. CAD also preferred.


Responsibilities


  • Ownership of the operational management of Livingston.

  • Manage Facilities function interface with other business functions for Livingston.

  • Manage day to day running of site.

  • Manage the activities of the site Facilities team.

  • Ensure performance of the department meets service requirements and strives for continual improvement.

  • Support delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards

  • Support delivery of Environmental policy and standards

  • Support delivery of corporate policy and standards

  • Support customer and company audits ensuring optimum results are achieved

  • Manage Financial Accountabilities – Facilities cost centre budget, Facilities AR budget and Functional project and AR budgets for both sites.

  • Accountable for the completion of standard or non-standard tasks, within the scope of the function

  • Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their role

  • Inputs to planning activities with horizons of typically up to 6 months

  • Makes decisions within parameters set by manager, using job/specialist experience

  • Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverables

  • Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards

  • Supervises the activities of service partners to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility


Desired Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of one functional area through job experience & training

  • Have achieved an HND or HNC as a minimum in an Engineering discipline

  • Experience of supporting a business contract and/or providing support to a professional function

  • Have a sound working knowledge of all UK facilities biased statute

  • Member of a relevant recognised Industry professional body (e.g. IWFM, CIBSE etc) although not essential.

  • Have a working knowledge of automated drawing software packages / Computed Aided Design

  • Have a working knowledge of project management scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project

  • Have a working understanding of Asset Management / Protection.
