Job summary

CBRE Assistant Facilities Manager role in Greater London provides advanced support to the team coordinating with clients, vendors and contractors to ensure work orders are completed efficiently. It sits within Facilities Management, assisting Property Managers with repairs and investment plans.

You will supervise and mentor staff, resolve complex issues, and drive process improvements in line with CBRE’s RISE values. A solid grounding in accounting and strong Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of job-related experience.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting fundamentals required.
  • In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
  • Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
  • Exceptional math skills with the ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, performance reviews, and mentorship to team members.
  • Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
  • Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures.
  • Work to build consensus.
  • Point of contact for escalated communications between landlord, tenants, and service providers by ensuring all procedures, policies, and reporting formats are understood and implemented.
  • Allocate work orders and schedule repairs from requests.
  • Review data from work order reports and create and present performance and progress status reports to management.
  • Review all work orders, proposals, department files, and other paperwork submitted by vendors for accuracy and compliance.
  • Check rooms and furniture to identify needs for repairs or renovations.
  • Fix minor malfunctions in office equipment.
  • Research new services and appliances to facilitate operations.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent.
  • May recommend new techniques.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.

About The Role

As a CBRE Assistant Facilities Manager, you will provide advanced support and supervision to the team coordinating with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure work orders are completed efficiently and effectively.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
