UEL is seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Manager to join our dedicated Property Services Team. This pivotal role involves the comprehensive oversight and management of a diverse portfolio of Hard and Soft Facilities Management contracts across the main University Hospital Southampton site for both Healthcare and academic as well as various off‑site properties including Adanac Innovation Health Campus.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our facilities, indirectly contributing to the provision of exceptional patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a collaborative small team environment, while also demonstrating significant initiative and autonomy in managing contractual obligations and reactive work.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 08.00 – 16.00 and the post holder may be required to work across our three sites at Southampton General Hospital, our warehouse at Unit 3 St Georges Industrial Estate in Eastleigh and Adnac Park.
UHS Estates Limited (UEL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). We are responsible for the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of hospital buildings, as well as soft facilities management and the provision of essential equipment, consumables, and materials.

Proven experience in managing a diverse range of contracts, ideally within a facilities management or healthcare environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a small, high‑performing team.
Possession of a valid driving licence and the ability to travel locally to various UHS properties.
Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with all levels of staff and external partners.
Experience and knowledge measurable at application stage.
