What We Are Looking For This role is an integrated Sales and Event role assisting the Event Manager and Sales team to sell-in, grow and execute private and corporate events. As our Assistant Events Manager you'll be responsible for the end-to-end production of on-site events at Heckfield Place, including The Assembly. We are looking for someone with creativity and vision, loving the nature and outdoors, and of course with previous experience in a similar position.

Key responsibilities include:

  • managing all enquiries coming into the venue relating to weddings and events, you will be required to liaise with customers over the phone, email and face to face, ensuring you fully understand all their requirements and offering them the best offer available.
  • developing existing accounts, to take repeat bookings and strengthen relationships with the venue.
  • some administration for events (Including Assembly and internal events) and sales.
  • working with the Sales team on appointments and final detail meetings to ensure all details are gained in advance of the event date
  • Ensure a BEO is created for every event and sending a weekly update, ensuring all changes and updates are quickly and clearly communicated to teams to prevent updates being missed
  • Attend the weekly F&B meeting and any other relevant meetings in the Event Managers absence
  • Ensuring all information is kept up to date in all booking systems including HART, and Eventbrite
  • Escort and greet guests for private events and the screening room
  • Train and support new staff in the event team
  • Prepare rota and approve timesheets on Rotageek where required
  • To cover responsibilities of the Events coordinators/ Manager in their absence
