Assistant Event Operations Manager


Key Responsibilities


  • Planning and executing events according to the venue’s calendar.

  • Liaising with internal departments (ticketing, technical, security, front‑of‑house) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, sponsors, statutory agencies).

  • Preparing event plans, risk assessments, and security assessments.

  • Acting as Duty Manager during events, making key operational decisions and managing emergencies if required.

  • Ensuring safety compliance, crowd management, and smooth operational delivery.

  • Supporting revenue maximization through cost control and additional income opportunities.


Qualifications


  • Experience in event management/operations in music, entertainment, conference, or leisure venues.

  • Experience with front‑of‑house management, crowd control, and basic production.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • IOSH Managing Safety certification.

  • Ability to work under pressure, including evenings and weekends.

  • Team player who thrives in fast‑paced environments.
