Job summary

Apple Inc. Norwich-based contractor seeks an Assistant Estimator to join its pre-contract team. You will assist with cost plans, tender pricing and BoQ preparation, supporting the cost management of bids for multiple projects.

The role requires 2+ years experience with a main contractor or subcontractor, familiarity with Conquest and Excel desirable, and a degree in a construction-related subject. Opportunity to develop under an experienced Team Leader.

Qualifications

• 2 years+ of experience with a main contractor or subcontractor as a trainee or assistant estimator, pre-construction surveyor, or cost planner.
• Use of Conquest software would be advantageous but not essential.
• Excel knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the cost plans and pricing of tenders under JCT D&B forms of contract.
• Assist with producing BoQs, take-offs, full cost plans and target cost reporting.
• Occasional pre-construction surveying duties including deeds of appointment and procurement.
