Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established main contractor who are looking to bring in an Assistant Estimator to their growing team. The company specialises in commercial, logistics and retail projects and we are therefore looking for somebody who can bring a commercial awareness, attention to detail and a proactive approach to tendering and cost planning.

As an Assistant Estimator you will:

  • Assist in managing tender process, review tender documents, engage with subcontractors/suppliers and obtain quotes, perform package costing.
  • Help to prepare full bid submissions, cost breakdowns, preliminaries, risk allowances and profit margins.
  • Liaise with design, pre-construction and operations teams to ensure buildability, cost control and compliance with the company\'s standards.
  • Assist in performing cost comparisons, value engineering options and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with the companies emphasis on sustainability, health and safety and quality standards, all core values of the business.
