The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and curious individual to join our team as an Assistant Estate Manager, supporting the delivery of land and property activities for the Sizewell C project. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build expertise in land management, property law, and infrastructure development while working alongside experienced professionals. Whether you\'re early in your career or looking to take the next step, we’ll support your growth through hands-on experience, mentoring, and exposure to a wide range of property and land-related work.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Learn to manage commercial land/property transactions and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in securing rights and access arrangements, including those under the Development Consent Order (DCO).
  • Work with external consultants (agents, solicitors) and help resolve land-related issues.
  • Gain experience in procurement and financial processes for external advisors.
  • Contribute to governance and health & safety compliance, including drafting reports and documentation.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and risk management activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align land commitments and resolve conflicts.
  • Apply and develop knowledge of landlord and tenant law and property valuation.
  • Help maintain and improve our land and property database.
  • Build strong relationships across project teams to support successful delivery.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A team player with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Land Management).
  • RICS qualification is a plus, but not essential.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Market-leading pension scheme.
  • Paid holidays and flexible benefits such as a company incentive bonus plan, health cover, cycle to work scheme, discounts and employee pricing.
Additional Information

Join the team at Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain. It’s not every day you get the opportunity to shape the working culture of what will be one of Europe’s largest construction projects, while also helping Britain to reach its target of Net Zero emissions by 2050. The UK is experiencing a nuclear renaissance and Sizewell C – along with its sister project at Hinkley Point C in Somerset – is powering the change. We’re ramping up at pace as we look ahead to the Financial Investment Decision in early 2025, and the start of construction soon after. With government fully on board and public opinion shifting significantly in favour of nuclear, there’s never been a better time to join our project. By submitting an application to this role, you acknowledge that you have read and understood Sizewell C’s employee privacy policy and EDF's employee privacy policy. Just to let you know, EDF will be processing and sharing information about your application on behalf of Sizewell C.
