SSE is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to join the Onshore Project Engineering team in Scotland, overseeing Protection & Control Engineers and delivering value-driven engineering for Net Zero projects.
You will lead a team, ensure appropriate resources across portfolios, and promote a safety-focused, collaborative culture while managing consultants and in-house experts.
For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office - Glasgow, Inverness, Perth, Aberdeen
£59,800 - £89,800 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our Onshore Project Engineering team and play a key role in delivering innovative and value-adding engineering solutions across our portfolio of projects, supporting the delivery of a Network for Net Zero.
This role will lead and coordinate a team of specialist Protection & Control Engineers, ensuring engineering excellence, developing capability within the team and promoting a collaborative, safety-focused culture. An appreciation of Protection & Control engineering would be beneficial, however this is not essential as the role is primarily focused on leadership, people management and engineering delivery.
