Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial electrical maintenance or apprenticeship background in electrical engineering.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical systems, control panels and motors.
  • Basic understanding of safety requirements for electrical work and permit-to-work systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English for handovers and documentation.
  • Willingness to work safely on site and participate in on-call or shift patterns.

  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and ensure equipment records are accurate.
  • Support small capital projects from planning through handover, including risk assessments and test documentation.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to investigate deviations and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to safety and compliance activities, following procedures and supporting audits and inspections.

Position Summary

Basic Qualification
  • Level 3 electrical qualification (for example NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in industrial electrical maintenance or apprenticeship background in electrical engineering.

  • Basic understanding of safety requirements for electrical work and permit-to-work systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English for clear handovers and documentation.

Preferred Qualification
  • HNC/HND or foundation degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience working in regulated or quality-controlled environments.
  • Familiarity with engineering change control and document management systems.
  • Basic experience with PLCs, instrumentation or process control systems.
  • Experience supporting small capital projects or plant modifications.
  • Demonstrable continuous improvement mindset and practical problem-solving skills.
