Job summary

Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law team in the UK is seeking a law graduate with some publishing experience to contribute to a growing knowledge service. You will create and maintain materials across formats, review and edit content, and liaise with contributors for annual reviews, while supporting AI and tech-driven projects.

You will work in a hybrid London-based environment, needing strong writing, editing, and organisational skills to manage deadlines and data efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Law Degree (2:1 or above) or an undergraduate degree in another subject (2:1 or above) with a completed law conversion course.
  • Experience in international or cross-border legal practice or legal publishing, including editing content by contributors whose first language is not English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write and edit clearly under guidance.
  • Strong organisational skills; experience coordinating large volumes of content or data is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise tasks and manage workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Practical Law and Thomson Reuters applications.
  • Undergraduate Law Degree.
  • Undergraduate Degree in a non-law subject with a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (or equivalent).

We are seeking a law graduate, with some experience in a legal or publishing environment to join the Practical Law team in the UK. Practical Law is a leading online know-how service providing rigorous, peer-reviewed resources, such as practice notes, current awareness and standard documents to help legal professionals work smarter and advise with confidence. Practical Law is part of Thomson Reuters, one of the world’s most trusted providers of answers across law, tax, compliance, government and media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating new and maintaining existing materials spanning a variety of formats.
  • Reviewing and editing content written internally and externally.
  • Liaising with contributors in relation to their content, including in relation to requests for annual reviews.
  • Providing administrative and publishing support, ensuring that content is produced in compliance with technical and editorial requirements and helping to maintain internal content database.
  • Providing support in relation to new legal AI and technology-driven projects.
