Job description
Overview

We're searching for an exceptional Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice across our Community Mental Health Service Line.

Within the Community Mental Health Service Line, you'll work closely with the Deputy Director of Community and Urgent Care Mental Health Services and Head of Operations, in the delivery of the highest standard/quality of care for users of our service. Your leadership will be central to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and providing motivational guidance to our clinical teams. With your support, we aim to create an organisational climate where every individual can contribute to their fullest potential, aligned with our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

As Assistant Director of Nursing, you'll lead service development and transformation initiatives, advocating for service re-design to enhance service user experience.

Your expertise will ensure that delivery plans are compatible and will maximise opportunities for more efficient working in addition to promoting staff empowerment and accountability for service improvement at a local level. Moreover, you'll champion innovation and best practices, driving the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve service delivery and patient outcomes. With your guidance, our clinical teams will embrace a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and lifelong learning.

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on nursing practice and service user care within our organisation. If you're a registered nurse with extensive leadership experience and a passion for driving positive change, we encourage you to apply.

Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical health and mental health services in the North West, serving more than 1.4 million people across our region and are also commissioned for services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services. Mersey Care is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities.

At the heart of all we do is our commitment to ‘perfect care’ – care that is safe, effective, positively experienced, timely, equitable and efficient. We support our staff to do the best job they can and work alongside service users, their families, and carers to design and develop future services together. We’re currently delivering a programme of organisational and service transformation to significantly improve the quality of the services we provide and safely reduce cost as we do so.

Flexible working requests will be considered for all roles.
