Job summary

Assistant director of Housing Standards needed in West London Paying £750 per day ref 005475

Full time hours on a temporarybasis

As Assistant Director of Housing Standards, you will:

  • Lead initiatives to raise housing standards across the private rented sector and housing association stock.
  • Build strong partnerships with landlords, housing providers, and key stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee compliance with new legislation, including the Renters Rights Act and Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024.
  • Drive service improvement programmes to ensure tenants, renters, and leaseholders receive the highest quality support.
  • Provide strategic leadership, manage a significant budget (£5–10m), and guide a team of senior professionals.

Ideal experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of housing legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven senior management experience in housing or related services.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills with a track record of delivering results.
  • Ability to influence at the highest levels and build effective partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities.
