Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director in Infrastructure Advisory focused on local and regional government, with offices in London and across the UK. The role involves leading teams to deliver financial, commercial and strategic advisory on infrastructure projects, developing business cases and client relationships across public sector partners.

You will drive programme delivery, manage complex transactions, and contribute to EY’s growth through thought leadership and engaging senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Understanding of local and regional government and its drivers.
• Strong ability to manage workstreams and projects within contractual and budgetary constraints.
• Experience in financial, commercial and strategic advisory in infrastructure/public sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert financial, commercial and strategic advice to clients on transactions and policy projects.
• Deliver and manage complex projects and programmes of work.
• Build and work with financial models and perform sensitivity analysis.
• Create business cases with strategic, economic, financial and commercial evaluation.
• Support clients to achieve financial sustainability of organisations or services.
• Present impactful reports to senior stakeholders to enable effective decisions.
• Drive business development and contribute to EY's growth strategies.
• Lead origination and sales initiatives.
• Contribute to sector thought leadership and EY's policy perspectives.
• Build senior client relationships across local authorities and other partners.
• Support development and coaching of junior team members.
