A local council in Norwich is seeking an Assistant Director for Strategic Commissioning Older People and Care Markets. This role involves leading initiatives to improve services for older people and developing partnerships within the care market. We have an exciting opportunity within Norfolk to lead the Strategic Commissioning and Care Markets function. This function has a key leadership role in the strategic commissioning of services for Older People (65+) and wider development of the market, through initiatives such as the Market Position Statement and Fee uplift process.
You will also have a lead role in the following key strategic properties for Adult Social Care:
You will be part of the wider strategic commissioning function and have a clear responsibility to ensure we meet our duties under the Care Act, in the promotion of an effective, efficient, and sustainable care market. It is important to ensure that any person wishing to access services in the market has a variety of high-quality services to choose from.
This role is also important in developing strong partnerships with our care market, key stakeholders, including the Norfolk Care Association. It is important that we have these relationships in place, to be in the best possible position to overcome any challenges and continue to develop the provision of care and support in Norfolk.
