Job summary

InterTradeIreland are seeking an Assistant Director of Enterprise Development to lead the enterprise portfolio, focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation, and to deliver the organisation's strategic priorities across the island.

The role combines senior leadership with line management of programme managers, deputising for Directors when required, and engaging external stakeholders to position InterTradeIreland strategically within the economic support ecosystem.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent third level qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years’ management experience contributing to the development of an organisation’s strategic plans and objectives.
• A minimum of 3 years’ management experience translating agreed high-level corporate strategy into actionable team operational plans.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience leading, managing and developing high-performing teams, with responsibility for performance management, resource planning and delivery against agreed objectives and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery, and oversight of major programmes and supports delivering measurable benefits for InterTradeIreland, businesses, and island stakeholders.
• Depute for Directors as required and work with the Senior Leadership Team to inform and implement strategy.
• Lead development of existing and new initiatives to position InterTradeIreland within the wider economic support ecosystem through external stakeholder engagement.
• Support the organisation's strategic priorities and growth by driving high-impact enterprise development initiatives.
