A local authority in the UK seeks a deputy Director of Children’s Services to lead operational delivery and quality assurance in children's social care. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding and ensuring the best outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. Strong social work experience and knowledge of children’s services are essential. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
To secure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable children and their families through the effective and efficient operational delivery of a range of specialist and targeted preventative services for children and young people, including the key statutory children’s services such as Children Social Care, (Safeguarding, Fostering, Children in Care and Care Leavers) Local Authority run Children’s Centres, Youth offending Service to include Violence Reduction.
The post holder will also ensure high quality social work practice and ongoing service development and improvement to secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people across B&NES.
This post holder will be deputy DCS.
This post is responsible for leading on the operational delivery of internal provision, quality assurance, safeguarding and is responsible and accountable for good operational practice within and across the social care teams.
The post-holder will have specific responsibility for both operational and strategic safeguarding which aim to harness the benefits and added value of partnership working across the whole health and social care system.
