We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Assistant Director of Building, Compliance and People Safety. This is a strategic and high-impact role, responsible for ensuring the safety, compliance, and long-term sustainability of the Council’s residential housing stock.
As Assistant Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of building and fire safety, planned and cyclical maintenance, and compliance. You will ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met and that services are aligned with the Council’s Asset Management Strategy and HRA Business Plan.
You will lead service improvement and development, foster a culture of excellence across internal teams and external contractors, and ensure services are tailored to the needs of Birmingham’s diverse communities.
