The opportunity

As an AI and Digital Strategy Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving AI and digital transformation initiatives for our clients. You will leverage your expertise in identifying commercial and operational value creation opportunities for businesses by leveraging AI and emerging digital technology capacity to re‑imagine and transform businesses to deliver tangible performance improvement. You will lead overall projects with day‑to‑day responsibility (supported by a Partner/Director) managing multiple team members, with opportunities for fast progression with strong performance.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and challenges and identify opportunities for leveraging AI and digital technologies to define value creation opportunities to deliver superior commercial and operational business performance.
  • Lead teams to develop and implement comprehensive AI strategies that align with clients’ digital transformation goals and overall business strategy.
  • Advise clients on the integration of AI technologies into their existing digital ecosystems to optimize processes, enhance decision‑making, and create competitive advantages.
  • Build and maintain relationships both internally and externally to bring the best of EY to our clients, with a focus on building long‑term client relationships from strategy to execution.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to design digital/AI transformation roadmaps and execute complex digital/AI transformation projects.
Skills and attributes for success
What we look for
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in consulting (preferably strategy, operational and/or technology) focused on value creation or analogous experience in other organizations.
  • Direct experience with working alongside organisations on digital, AI or related topics – understanding the complexity and levers to make digital/AI change stick and generate value.
  • Track record of working on large scale transformation projects, preferably in a digital context.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of AI technologies (e.g., GenAI, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision) and their application in a business context and enterprise technology architecture (including data).
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong people management and calibration capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Come from a commercial/operational strategy consulting environment and progressed into technology strategy.
