Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Controller / Business Analyst to provide financial, commercial and operational support to promote growth, profitability and business change by working closely with key business stakeholders in Leicester.

About The Role

On a day-to-day basis this is what you would be doing:

  • Ownership and control of a key business area
  • Manage financial month-end processes including accruals, prepayment and journal entries
  • Supporting the Business Control team in both operational and financial decisions
  • Prepare and delivery monthly management accounts and divisional performance results
  • Provide analytical insight and variance analysis to explain performance against budget, forecast and prior periods
  • Maintain and reconcile the balance sheet
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools
Our Profile

We are looking for somebody who has experience in an accounting, financial control, statistical analysis or a planning role to provide analytical, commercial and financial support also to support the cross-divisional objectives of the Business Control team.
