Overview

About the Location: Reading Malmaison is a historic station hotel in Reading, Berkshire, with 76 bedrooms, a 74-seat Bar & Grill, and 6 private event spaces (largest seating up to 80). It is a part of Frasers Hospitality, Malmaison & Hotel Du Vin. The hotel offers a new Work and Play Meeting and Events Space and is seeking an Assistant Cluster Meetings & Events Manager for a permanent role in Reading. The role is 45 hours per week with a competitive salary, and it is not a standard 9-5 office position.

It’s all in the detail—from a meeting for 6 guests to a 160-cover wedding, and you will be the face of the business, often before the guest steps foot in the hotel. This could be the next step for you into an Operations Manager role as we actively encourage internal development and progression.

  • Lead the events team to ensure all meetings, events and weddings run smoothly.

Qualifications

This role requires hands-on experience in a similar events/meetings role. You should be able to manage multiple events, lead a team, and demonstrate a customer-focused approach.
