Job summary

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an Assistant Clinical Educator in Warrington to support training programs in resuscitation and clinical skills. This role includes managing and delivering courses while assisting learners in clinical settings. The ideal candidate will have a foundation degree in Health and Social Care, excellent communication skills, and experience in delivering training. This part-time position is a fixed-term contract with a salary range of £27,485 to £30,162 per annum, pro-rated.

Assistant Clinical Educator (Band 4)

The Resuscitation, Simulation & Skills Team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are looking for professionals with passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence in education. The team delivers education in a broad range of disciplines to a wide variety of learners.

You will assist the department in the organisation, administration, and delivery of a wide range of training programmes including Resuscitation, Clinical Simulation and Clinical Skills.

The Resuscitation, Skills and Simulation team is a friendly and supportive team of highly skilled professional educators, working across both Trust sites. We have a reputation for delivering high quality safe healthcare training using innovative techniques and cutting-edge technology. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated educator to join our forward-thinking, inclusive team.

Main duties of the job

You will assist the Head of Resuscitation, Simulation & Skills in managing, developing and delivering a wide variety of courses and simulation education to learners from all healthcare disciplines.

You will also be expected to support learners in the clinical setting and take part in collecting audit data and patient safety projects.

You will have excellent communication and administration skills to ensure the best experience on our advanced courses. The ability to work on your own initiative, problem solve, prioritise your workload, manage projects and meet deadlines is essential. Excellent IT skills are a prerequisite including Word, Excel, and databases.

A teaching qualification or experience would be advantageous as the post will involve some teaching of BLS/Skills and assisting with Simulation as required.

You will be supported to develop your career in a variety of opportunities, and be involved in all aspects of equipment management, audit activities, multidisciplinary events, and national and local patient safety initiatives.

This post will be required to work across all trust sites as required.

Experience
  • Experience as a healthcare provider.
  • Evidence of delivering training to groups and 1-1.
