Job Description
Job Title : Assistant Civil Engineer
Location : Port of Tilbury
Compensation : competitive + paid overtime
We are looking for an Assistant Civil Engineer to support the Port Engineering Management and wider team in the planning, supervision, and successful delivery of civil engineering and building projects across the Port of Tilbury. This role will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards while meeting the expectations of clients and stakeholders.
We’re seeking a motivated and proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, work well independently and collaboratively, and bring a strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods. You’ll be someone who is confident in liaising with contractors and stakeholders, and who is driven to see projects through to successful completion.
Experience and qualifications: Extensive knowledge of building and civil engineering construction methods, ideally from a major contractor or client organisation, gained in the UK
Regulations: Good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including CDM 2015
Teamwork: Ability to work independently and within a team
Technical: Working knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous
Education: Ideally degree qualified, or HNC / equivalent with suitable experience
