Assistant Civil Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Billericay, Essex | Hybrid: 1-2 days WFH post-probation

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Billericay. You'll be part of an employee‑owned consultancy delivering high‑quality development infrastructure projects for residential, industrial, and commercial clients.

Projects range from 50 to several thousand units and cover all stages—from feasibility to construction support. You'll collaborate closely with in‑house transport teams and contribute to designs in drainage, highways, and earthworks.

What You’ll Need
  • Enthusiasm to learn and work within a team
  • Some experience with design standards (e.g., DMRB, Sewer Sector Guidance, CIRIA C753)
  • Consultancy experience, ideally on residential schemes
  • AutoCAD proficiency; knowledge of Site 3D, Civils 3D, or MicroDrainage is a plus
  • Familiarity with S104, S38, S278 approval processes is beneficial
Your Responsibilities
  • Support senior engineers on project design and technical tasks
  • Contribute to drainage strategies, highway design, earthworks, and technical reports
  • Help prepare drawings, calculations, and approval submissions
  • Liaise with clients and manage project documentation
