Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Civil Design Engineer to take on a key role in the delivery of the Design and Build AMP8 Networks Programme.

You'll work with a wide range of Capital Delivery Partners within a friendly and inclusive team, while being involved in the design elements of the full project lifecycle, from design through to construction, commissioning and handover.

What you'll do

Working alongside experienced Lead Designers, you will undertake design activities for a number of high-value, complex and interesting sewerage infrastructure projects.

Experience gained in the role will enable you to work effectively alongside our in-house contracting partners to produce innovative design solutions.

A key part of your role will be to assist in the production of design deliverables associated with gravity and pressurised sewerage systems to resolve hydraulic deficiencies in our sewerage networks and improve the environment.

This will include the production of technical and commercial reports, calculations and technical specifications, and managing the production of engineering drawings and relevant construction information in line with company and industry technical and environmental standards.

The role will require regular visits to sites and other offices, so a clean driving license is essential.
