Job description
Role Overview

The Trust provides an on-site Day Nursery, primarily used by staff, but also open to the general public. The Charing Cross Day Nursery offers childcare places for children aged 6 months to 5 years old.

Job Summary

We require an Assistant Childcare Practitioner to work in partnership with Childcare Practitioners, Deputy Day Nursery Manager, and Day Nursery Manager at a progressive nursery committed to high-quality childcare and early years learning.

Key Responsibilities

You will undertake childcare duties working alongside Qualified Childcare Practitioners, being responsible for your Key children, providing excellent customer service to parents and carers who use the service.

Qualifications and Skills

A Level 2 qualification is required, and you must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the childcare sector and have an interest in working with children. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to demonstrate initiative.

Safeguarding

The Trust is strongly committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its staff, patients, and children. Due to the role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and also a range of other recruitment checks.

Early Years Practice

To implement high-quality early years practice and provision to support all children to reach their full potential, particularly in the prime areas of learning and development across the service.
