The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Chef / Cook to join our culinary team. This role goes beyond traditional resort kitchens—it is part of a wellness-driven culinary environment, where food is an extension of the spa experience.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

  • Support menu development for the café and event offerings.
  • Prepare light, health-focused dishes including plant-based and specialty options.
  • Deliver bespoke event and VIP dining experiences.
  • Supervise and train team members in cooking and plating artistry.
  • Oversee daily café operations, ensuring service readiness and quality.
  • Source and highlight seasonal, local produce to support sustainability.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with regulations.
Requirements

Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years in a culinary role within luxury, wellness, or health-conscious settings.
  • Strong knowledge of wellness cuisine and dietary requirements (gluten-free, plant-based, flexitarian).
  • Proven leadership and mentoring ability in a kitchen or café environment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in presentation and luxury service standards.
  • Excellent communication in English (spoken and written).
  • Organised, creative, and passionate about wellbeing and mindful dining.

  • Base Salary: USD $48,000 per annum
  • Gratuities on Service: Collective 5% service charge shared across the Back-of-House (BOH) team
  • Estimated On-Target Earnings (OTE): USD $55,000–$57,000 per annum
