Overview

Sanctuary Care is recruiting an Assistant Chef at Ivydene Residential and Nursing Home, Staniforth Drive, Ivybridge, Plymouth, Devon. Salary £13.49 per hour. Temporary 6 month maternity cover. Requisition: 226567. We are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to high-quality care with a focus on dignity and respect for residents, their families and our staff.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Chef Manager to prepare a varied set of quality menus for residents
  • Promote and monitor food hygiene and safety standards, carry out risk assessments and maintain clean kitchen practices
  • Interact daily with residents, visitors and colleagues in a friendly, approachable and caring manner
  • Have experience working in a catering environment; a valid food hygiene certificate is required
