Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries is seeking an Assistant Chef to join our kitchen team in the UK. You will prepare nutritious meals for children, assist in daily kitchen operations and help ensure high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering for young children is desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety and allergy handling.
• Experience leading a small kitchen or team is a plus.

• Support the Chef in kitchen operations and maintain food safety standards.
• Manage kitchen inventory and assist with stock control and ordering.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements for children.
• Support the Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure kitchen inventory is well-maintained and assist with ordering and stock management.
• Support meal preparation and assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

• Ideally experience in leadership within early years settings.
