Job Title: Assistant, Catalogue Development and A&R

A little bit about our team:

Global Catalogue is both the communication centre between Warner Music Catalogue labels and International Territories around the world, and the paramount frontier for marketing artists in the streaming era. We work closely with all labels and artists under the Recorded Music division to develop new catalogue opportunities in marketing, A&R, content development, and consumption, and then convert our findings into new strategies that are deployed across the company to our Catalogue teams around the world.

With catalogues from great heritage acts such as Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Phil Collins, The Doors, Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell, Madonna, Prince, New Order, to more current artists such as Wale, Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, Muse, and many more…the Warner Music catalogue is a rich and varied one that requires constant management and reinvention. This can vary from reimagining a classic album, creating and promoting a playlist managed by us or encouraging consumption of key tracks on streaming services, through to maintaining artist profile with digital suppliers.

Your role:

The Assistant, Catalogue Development and A&R will be instrumental in executing the strategy for the company's extensive music catalogue, developing new products and driving physical revenue growth and enhancing the cultural impact of legendary and enduring recordings. Here you’ll get to:

  • Product & Project Management: Assist the team in producing physical and digital catalogue releases (reissues, deluxe editions, boxsets, etc.) with copy checking, compiling audio, lyrics, video and more. Opportunity to develop skills into sole responsibility of project management over time.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinating the organisation of the release schedule with different stakeholders to ensure all teams have the necessary information in an efficient manner, working closely with Production, Artist Brand Management, Commercial, Business & Legal Affairs, and Finance teams to ensure successful execution of release schedule.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with artist management and estate representatives on project specifics, asset delivery, and timeline updates, ensuring alignment on the execution of the approved product strategy.
About you:
  • Enthusiasm and understanding of the physical music market, including current trends, distribution channels, and consumer purchasing behaviour.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep passion for music history and a genuine appreciation for the cultural significance of iconic recordings.
