Assistant Cash Accountant
Kings Hill, Kent
£26,000 – £30,000pa + Excellent Benefits

KHR has partnered with one of the fastest-growing businesses in Kent, currently seeking a highly efficient and organized Assistant Cash Accountant for an immediate start due to business demand.

This critical role involves managing company cash flow, ensuring accurate transactions, and maintaining financial integrity across the organization. You will report to the Assistant Financial Controller, with key responsibilities including recording all cash transactions, completing reconciliations, and investigating unreconciled data.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts, ensuring updates are completed daily and accurately
  2. Managing daily invoicing and bank account processes, reconciling payments and receipts, and overseeing operational processes
  3. Allocating payments and receipts to customers and supply chain daily
  4. Contributing to the monthly management accounts pack, including dashboard reporting
  5. Posting authorizations within policy for daily cashbook, monthly balance sheets, and reconciliations, ensuring accurate reporting
  6. Reconciling all bank and cash accounts within the control environment to strict deadlines, maintaining quality control of daily cashbook and treasury processes
  7. Implementing system changes, conducting user acceptance testing, and obtaining sign-off prior to deployment
  8. Reviewing weekly payments, including faster payments, BACS, CHAPS, and FCY payments

Candidate Profile:

  1. Proven experience in technical accounting with a focus on cash management
  2. Strong analytical skills
  3. Experience monitoring and reporting treasury activities in compliance with policies
  4. Experience with SAGE 50, Sage Intact, Dynamics, or similar systems is desirable
  5. Full or part qualified – ACA, CIMA, ACCA, ACMA, or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
