Job summary

GREENACRE SCHOOL is seeking a relief assistant caretaker on a casual, zero-hours basis to support our estates team. You will help keep classrooms, corridors and outdoor areas clean, safe and welcoming for pupils, with training provided from day one.

Duties include basic cleaning, simple caretaking tasks under the Estates Manager, safe storage of equipment, reporting faults, and attending health and safety training. Flexible hours and interview process details.

What You'll Be Doing

• Taking responsibility for cleaning specified areas, following the Trust's standards and methods.

• Carrying out caretaking duties as directed by the Estates Manager or Head of School, including minor DIY repairs to the building fabric or equipment.

• Safely storing all cleaning equipment and materials in designated areas after use.

• Proactively reporting any equipment faults, issues, or material shortages directly to your immediate supervisor.

• Participating in required staff training to ensure all health and safety, COSHH, and safeguarding standards are strictly met and maintained.
