King James's School in Huddersfield is seeking an Assistant Caretaker to join the site team. The role focuses on keeping buildings and grounds safe, welcoming and well-maintained for staff, students and visitors on a 37-hour weekly schedule.
Working with the Site Manager and Senior Caretaker, you will help with site security, routine maintenance, cleaning oversight and addressing any defects or repairs that arise. A DBS check is required as part of safeguarding.

Workingclosely with the Site Manager and Senior Caretaker, you will take pride inkeeping the site running smoothly. This is a varied role that includesresponsibility for site security, routine maintenance, cleaning oversight andaddressing any defects or repairs that may arise.
Theworking hours are 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, all year round. During term time, the hours will be 10:00 to18:00 Monday to Thursday and 10:00 to 17:30 on a Friday. During school holiday periods the hours willbe 8:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 to 15:30 on a Friday.

You Previousexperience is NOT essential, but you will need general maintenance skills inareas such as painting, plumbing, or general building maintenance, and be keento learn new skills with a professional and positive attitude.
