A residential care organization in Islington is looking for an Assistant Care Manager to oversee resident assessments and manage care staff. The role requires experience in care plans, staff performance management, and CQC regulations. The pay rate is between £18.36 and £23.77 per hour, depending on the payment method. This position is initially temporary but has potential for permanency for the right individual.

Job description

BDS are recruiting for an Assistant Care Manager for a supported living home in Islington.

Hours: 35 per week to include alternative weekends and shifts between 7am and 7pm

Key tasks will include
  • Carrying out assessment of new or existing residents. Ensuring all allocated residents have a comprehensive care plan in place.
  • Being responsible for the management and performance of care staff by providing induction, line management, supervision and support to a defined number of care workers.
  • Support the management team with all aspects of team management including recruitment, staff induction, training and disciplinary procedures and sickness absence.
  • Preparing rota's in line with commissioned care hours.
  • Acting as the responsible person for the safe running of the care service in the absence of the Registered Manager.
The successful candidate will have experience in
  • Staff observations
  • Staff 121's
  • Care plan writing
  • Residents assessments
  • Auditing of mar charts and log sheets
  • A good understanding of CQC regulation and how to apply these in practice

Pay rate; £18.36ph PAYE - £23.77ph UMB

We are looking for someone with the ability to start as soon as possible and to hit the ground running!

This is a temp ongoing role initially with potential to go perm for the right person.
