We are looking for an Assistant Buyer for Nuts, Single Crisps and Front of Store Snacks and Biscuits - in the Impulse team, reporting into the Multipack Crisps Buying Manager.

This is a fantastic role for someone looking to raise their profile and take the next step in their buying career within a dynamic and fast-moving category. You will have exposure to a good mix of branded and OL suppliers, managing single crisps within the meal deal as well as flavoured and coated nuts and snacks. Nuts is a key focus within CSN as we continue to strengthen our position on HFSS and sustainability, and with some very exciting NPD due to land in 26/27, you will have a real opportunity to make an impact.

This role is a key part of the buying team, supporting the Buying Manager to source and buy great quality products, giving our customers the best offer, range and prices available.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting your manager to manage supplier performance, identifying potential new suppliers and supporting to build long term supplier relationships.
  • Using insight tools to analyse and understand performance issues and opportunities.
  • Conducting regular store/website visits and reviewing customer insight and food trends, helping shape our future product and range requirements for our customers.
  • Helping to build and source customer/market insight led ranges and product innovation.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to agree and deliver market leading buy/move/sell plans for the areas aligned to the customer plan & category strategy with support from your manager.
  • Supporting delivery of trade, promotions & events plan, striving to exceed KPIs, drive footfall and forecast accurately.
  • Supporting the Supply Chain Plan, helping getting our products in store on time.
  • Working with suppliers and the category quality team to ensure product quality is achieved and maintained.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
