Job Introduction
As the Assistant Buyer for a new Luxury Destination serving our VIP clients as well as RTW Luxury Concessions, you will be responsible for overseeing ways of working across all of ready to wear for this destination and Luxury Concessions, supporting the Buyer in managing brand relationships, establishing ways of working with internal and external stakeholders and utilising your expertise to set a standard of excellence in a new and critically important area of the business. You will work with the Buyer to establish the best ways of working and will be a go to person for brands and internal partners.
As Assistant Buyer, You Will
- Supporting the buyer across the RTW business for Luxury Concessions and the new destination– ensuring thorough knowledge of product and market
- Liaise with external stakeholders from brands to establish best ways of working, best terms and provide support, forging strong partnerships based upon trust and proven follow through
- You will demonstrate efficiency and focus in ensuring that all communications are shared in a timely manner and that all processes have been thoroughly worked through and considered
- You will work closely with legal, finance, retail operations, stock operations, marketing, PR and other areas of the business, establishing industry excellence in your ways of working
- Work with the Buyer and Buying Manager to ensure that Buying decisions are based on a sound commercial framework to drive sales and profit
- Monitor and review trade in season, making trading recommendations to the Buyer and Buying Manager when necessary
- Working with the Buyer on administrative work for the set up of concessions, special projects and other tasks related to the role
- Work with the merchandising team to analyse performance, making recommendations to the Buyer and Buying Manager
- Forge strong relationships with Personal Shopping, establishing yourself as a go to person
- Carry out research into key trends and put together look books for the areas where applicable
