Overview

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our Disney Stores team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Apparel buying function for one of the world's most iconic brands, helping to deliver exceptional products that delight Disney fans across the region. This specializes in Apparel for Baby to Adult, including Apparel for Costumes & Roleplay. In this role, you'll assist the Buyer and Associate Buyer in developing range plans, managing purchase orders, and ensuring smooth product and commercial flow. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, using your organisational skills and market insight to keep our product offering fresh, relevant, and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Buyer in managing product development timelines and approvals
  • Conduct quarterly trend and competitive analysis to inform product recommendations
  • Prepare and maintain photobooks and product briefs for merchandising and creative teams
  • Monitor product quality reports and coordinate action plans with Product Integrity
  • Communicate range plans and updates to internal teams and partners
  • Provide presentation decks, business recaps, and hindsight reports for key meetings
  • Track purchase orders and escalate shipment issues as needed
  • Ensure accuracy of range plan assortments and maintain data integrity
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar buying role within a retail or omni-channel environment
  • Previous experience as a Buyer's Assistant
  • Degree-level education in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
  • Financial aptitude and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and merchandise systems
  • Cultural awareness and understanding of global markets
