A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for an Assistant Buyer to support the operational buying requirements for a major rail project, you will:

• Operational buying of material and plant requirements for a major rail project
• Ensure projects receive material orders to the required quality, cost and delivery expectations
• Negotiate with suppliers that are not covered by frameworks
• Support operational teams with day to day challenges on contracts
• Maximise the use of framework agreements to ensure savings and rebates are achieved

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for Assistant Buyers with 3+ years materials procurement experience from any contractor or subcontractor.

You will have strong materials procurement experience, with a track record of delivering internal stakeholder requirements for projects.

You will have helped to deliver projects across infrastructure, construction or MEP for any reputable contractor.

Relevant degree or CIPS is desirable.
