Assistant Accountant (Tax)

VANRATH is pleased to be recruiting for a Part- Qualified/ Assistant Accountant for a well-known company in Mid-Ulster. Due to organic growth my client is investing heavily in their already established finance function to help meet the needs of a growing business.

The Role
  • Support the delivery of clear, reliable financial and tax-related information to internal teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Work closely within the finance function to assist with compliance tasks, submissions, and the overall tax position of designated business areas.
  • Use strong systems knowledge and technical skills to help resolve process issues and contribute to ongoing improvements in financial tools and workflows.
  • A varied role that requires someone adaptable, inquisitive, and confident tackling challenges as they arise.
  • Contribute to the application of consistent accounting practices and internal control standards across multiple regions.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced in supporting the preparation of detailed tax or financial calculations and related analysis.
  • Able to build strong, effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and collaborate well across different teams.
  • Strong communicator with solid organisational and presentation skills, able to convey information clearly and confidently.
  • Comfortable challenging existing processes and suggesting improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Highly proficient with digital tools and advanced spreadsheet software, using these to support problem-solving and day-to-day tasks.
