Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly financial closing routines, ensuring all accounting entries are recorded accurately and in a timely manner to maintain reliable financial data.
  • Conduct thorough bank account reconciliations and manage bank allocations, guaranteeing that all transactions are properly documented and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Oversee the automated payable solution by managing allocation and approvals, maintaining purchase ledgers, and ensuring smooth operation of payment processes.
  • Review intercompany account balances across the group, reconciling accounts regularly to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout the organisation.
  • Allocate revenue into correct cost codes and reconcile these figures back to the Operations system for precise financial tracking.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Assist with acquisitions by providing data support and standardising processes, contributing to seamless integration of new entities into the group structure.
  • Support the Finance Director during audits of group companies by preparing documentation and facilitating communication with auditors.
  • Participate in various ad hoc projects, tasks, and improvements as required by the fast‑paced nature of the business, demonstrating adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges.
Ideal Candidate
  • Demonstrated attention to detail that ensures accuracy in all aspects of financial record‑keeping and reconciliation.
  • Ability to use initiative when faced with ambiguity or new challenges, showing resourcefulness in problem‑solving situations.
  • Strong organisational skills that enable effective management of multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role where you have supported operational functions within a busy department.
  • Proactive attitude combined with excellent communication skills that facilitate collaboration across teams.
  • Capacity to handle pressure calmly while adapting quickly to new processes or changes within the organisation.
  • University degree in Accounting or Business‑related discipline that provides a solid foundation for technical knowledge.
  • Minimum three years' experience working in Finance roles where you have developed expertise in reporting and analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency using Xero accounting software for day‑to‑day operations as well as MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or Google equivalents).
