Job summary

Marks Sattin is partnering with a growing energy group in the UK to recruit a finance professional responsible for month-end accounting, reporting, budgeting and cost centre support. The role focuses on accuracy, stakeholder liaison, and improving financial processes across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience in a multi-entity environment, and familiarity with ERP systems, energy or manufacturing sectors being beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and analytical capability.
• Experience in a multi-entity finance environment is preferred.
• Exposure to energy, manufacturing, or production sectors is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of accounting standards and ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Month-End & General Accounting: prepare journals, prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet entries.
• Group & External Reporting: support monthly/quarterly/half-year reporting and statutory submissions.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: assist with business plans, budgets, and cashflow forecasting.
• Cost Centre & Systems Support: manage cost centre forecasts and data entry training for non-finance users.
