Job summary

Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Type: Permanent – Part Time
Salary: £11,919.73 per annum (Based on FTE of £24,501 per annum)

Overview

The Learning Support team is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide high‑quality support to learners with identified learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The role involves in‑class and online support across a range of courses from Entry Level to Level 3 / A Level, including learners with dyslexia, autism, ADHD, hearing, visual and physical impairments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in‑class and online support to individuals and groups of learners, including notetaking and assistance with personal care and mobility.
  • Support learners across a range of courses from Entry Level to Level 3 / A Level who have learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Assist learners with dyslexia, autism, ADHD, hearing impairments, visual impairments and physical impairments.
  • Work flexible and can‑do approach, undertaking further training where identified.
  • Ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed during interactions with learners.
Qualifications
  • At least 12 months of experience working with young people.
  • Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
