Assistant Accountant

35k per annum

Monday – Thursday 8:15am–5pm & Friday 8:15am1pm

Our client based in the Holywell area is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis supporting in all areas. You will be responsible for accounts up to and including the trial balance, performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, managing the monthly prepayments and accruals process and maintaining and updating the fixed asset register.

Performance Objectives
  • To aid decision making by senior management.
  • To help with daily management.
  • Maintain accuracy of management information.
  • To develop a greater understanding of product costing.
Person Specification
  • Proven experience in taking accounts to Trial Balance.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • SME experience would be ideal – an ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self–motivated.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for liaising with, challenging and supporting various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience of ERP systems with an aptitude for IT as the Company embarks on a new ERP implementation.
  • Degree or equivalent experience: Part qualified (formal or by experience).
  • Excellent communication skills.
