A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to manage finance operations in Reading. This hands-on role includes overseeing accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations, as well as producing management accounts and forecasts. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and experience in finance management. A hybrid working model offers 4 days in-office and 1 day remote, in a supportive and creative environment.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Accountant to take full ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations. This hands‑on role oversees everything from invoicing and balance sheet reconciliations to budgeting, cashflow forecasting and preparation of management accounts.
You will be a progressive individual who has the capability to grow to senior leadership, providing accurate and timely insight to support strategic decision‑making.
