Job summary

Ethos Talent in Kettering is partnering with a well-established business to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This hybrid role offers 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, with exposure to a broad range of group finance activities.

You will support the Group Finance team with management accounts, reconciliations, intercompany processes, VAT, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting. AAT/ACCA/CIMA pathways or experience are valued.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or ACCA/CIMA studies, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach with the desire to learn and develop.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively as part of a team.

We're delighted to be partnering with a well-established business based in Kettering to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their career within a collaborative Group Finance function.

This role is hybrid working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Working closely with the Group Finance & Reporting Manager, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting responsibilities, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and is keen to continue developing professionally.

The Role

As an Assistant Accountant, you'll play an important role in supporting the Group Finance team across a range of financial activities, including:

• Preparing Head Office management accounts
• Accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Invoice processing and payment runs
• Intercompany accounting and allocations
• Group VAT returns
• Cash flow forecasting
• Supporting group reporting and internal audit activities
• Assisting with budgets and forecasts
• Supporting treasury and payroll processes
