Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Assistant Accountant for an industrial manufacturing organisation based in Annesley, Nottinghamshire. The role is office-based and focuses on supporting the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end processes.

You will assist in preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and handling accounts payable/receivable, while contributing to budgeting and audits. The ideal candidate will have AAT Level 4 and be studying toward CIMA/ACCA/ACA.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting or finance, preferably in industrial/manufacturing sector.
• Able to commute to Annesley 5 days a week.
• Studying towards CIMA / ACCA / ACA.
• Successful completion of AAT Level 4.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement.
• Relevant accounting qualifications or working towards them.
