Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic finance team in a full‑time, permanent capacity. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will support a wide range of accounting activities, contributing to the preparation of both management and statutory accounts while also playing a vital role in financial reporting and analysis across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of quarterly and annual management and statutory accounts.
- Delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc sales and management reporting.
- Performing bank reconciliations, including cashbooks, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with a variety of tasks and projects.
- Reconciling HMRC submissions, VAT, and import duty.
- Managing external warranty reconciliations.
- Supporting broader finance functions such as roll‑out administration, margin reporting, foreign currency transactions, and integrity checks on landed cost valuations.
- Working closely with purchase ledger to ensure alignment across purchase and sales ledgers.
- Providing ad‑hoc financial reports to support other departments.
- Handling internal and external reporting related to sales, freight, distribution, and customer targets.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified, part‑qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Strong ability to prepare accounts up to trial balance.
- Proficient in using computerised accounting systems; experience with Pegasus Opera or Sage is advantageous.
- Confident in Microsoft Excel, with experience in report building using XRL and/or Infor highly beneficial.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
