Job description
Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic finance team in a full‑time, permanent capacity. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will support a wide range of accounting activities, contributing to the preparation of both management and statutory accounts while also playing a vital role in financial reporting and analysis across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual management and statutory accounts.
  • Delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc sales and management reporting.
  • Performing bank reconciliations, including cashbooks, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with a variety of tasks and projects.
  • Reconciling HMRC submissions, VAT, and import duty.
  • Managing external warranty reconciliations.
  • Supporting broader finance functions such as roll‑out administration, margin reporting, foreign currency transactions, and integrity checks on landed cost valuations.
  • Working closely with purchase ledger to ensure alignment across purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Providing ad‑hoc financial reports to support other departments.
  • Handling internal and external reporting related to sales, freight, distribution, and customer targets.
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified, part‑qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Strong ability to prepare accounts up to trial balance.
  • Proficient in using computerised accounting systems; experience with Pegasus Opera or Sage is advantageous.
  • Confident in Microsoft Excel, with experience in report building using XRL and/or Infor highly beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
